Thank you for choosing Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup to be part of your special event or Wedding Day. Please carefully review the following terms and conditions. By making a booking with us signifies you have read and agreed to our T&C’s. We look forward to your upcoming booking with us.
TERMS OF BOOKING
For special event bookings the minimum call out fee for mobile services is $300 plus travel.
For bridal bookings the minimum call out fee is $500 plus travel.
All other bookings are held in-house at Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup home boutique studio located in Mount Waverley.
Pricelist is subject to change without notice.
All bookings are confirmed on a first come, first reserved basis. Appointment dates/times are not held or secured without a booking fee which must be paid within 48 hours or your time/date may no longer be available.
Please arrive on time to your booking, if you are more than 15 mins late to your appointment your booking will be automatically cancelled. No shows will be charged for their booking and there are no refunds if you are running late or a no show.
BRIDAL bookings are recommended to book a preview/trial prior to the wedding day to determine style and colour choices. In the event that this is not possible, clients automatically agree to the application choices selected by the Artist on the day of the event.
BOOKINGS: To secure your special event booking a booking fee of $50 is required To secure your bridal booking a booking fee of $200 is required. By forwarding your booking fee means you also agree to Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup Terms and Conditions. The booking fee is non‐refundable and non‐transferable. Any balances paid are not refundable. Please note your booking is NOT confirmed until your booking fee has been received and Terms and Conditions have both been read and agreed.
PAYMENT: The final balance of your wedding booking is due one week prior to the booking unless otherwise agreed. Cash, bank transfer and credit cards are accepted (except American Express). The Person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) who made the booking with Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup. If no payment has been received by this date, Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup has the right to cancel the booking.
BOOKING TIMES: All clients to be completed on the day by an agreed time previously discussed with client. Each makeup application and hair styling requires a certain amount of time to be completed and is not to exceed time limit. When reserving your date, book accordingly. Any additional makeup needs outside the booking confirmation will only be performed at the discretion of the makeup artist. All persons involved in makeup/hair appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order for services to be completed by the agreed time. All makeup for more than one person must be at the same location and consecutive in time (no gaps in between). Please refer to your Wedding Day Timeline which will be sent closer to the date of your booking.
TRIALS: All persons receiving makeup applications are urged to book a consultation/trial prior to the event to determine style and colour choices. In the event that this is not possible, clients automatically agree to the application choices selected by the Artist on the day of the event.
LIABILITY: All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary. All products are sanitised between every makeup application. Any skin conditions or sensitivities of any client(s) should be reported to the makeup artist prior to application, and if needed a sample test of makeup may be performed on skin to test for any reactions. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist, and all employees and agents from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED: Makeup will be completed to client's satisfaction, but is not to exceed allotted makeup time. Acceptance of completed makeup application by client is acknowledgement by client that makeup is done to his/her satisfaction.
PARKING FEES: Where parking, valet or toll fees may be incurred, the amount will be included with the final bill and due for payment on the day of the event.
EARLY START FEE: Between 4am-5am $150 5am-6am $100 6am-7am $50
We do not accept last minute services on the day of the event. Please make sure every person that needs service is listed on the booking confirmation. We need a certain amount of time per person to give quality service.
TRAVEL FEE: Start at $60. The final amount will be determined at time of inquiry dependent on distance.
AIRFARE AND ACCOMODATIONS: All costs for travel to a booked event are to be paid by client. Costs may include airfares, hotel, meals, transportation and parking.
USE OF IMAGES: The Artist may use images taken of the Bride and bridal party for use on its website, social media or other promotional material.
SERVICE LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS: For mobile services there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs to complete services. A table near natural light needs to be made available for the makeup artist. Please advise if access to location is difficult eg lots of stairs etc.
Please be prepared to start at the allocated time. Please arrive with a clean face (NO MASCARA OR EYELINER) & be ready to start. For Hairstyling – clients need to arrive with clean dry hair (unless otherwise discussed). Hair is best washed day before your event. Any hairdrying will incur additional charges. This is very important so we can stay on schedule, and your artist can finish applications in the allotted time.
TATTOO COVER UPS: Please note this is an additional service and needs to be added onto your booking with Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup. Price per tattoo cover will be quoted depending on size and colours.
EMERGENCY/ILLNESS/iNFECTIONS/VIRUSES: In the event that Nicky Edwards Makeup Artist is unable to perform the services agreed upon due to an emergency, illness, or unexpected occurrence a trusted substitute Makeup Artist/ Hair stylist will be assigned and informed of the contracted and discussed arrangements.
Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup reserves the right to refuse services on anyone that appears to be unwell with colds, flu, vomiting, coldsores, eye infections or any other infectious illnesses.
CANCELLATION POLICY: The Makeup Artist reserves the right to terminate your booking for any non-compliance of terms and conditions, your booking will become void and all monies given are non-refundable. This booking arrangement cannot be changed after the artist/s arrives for the appointment. Booking fees made to secure the date of the booking are non-refundable. If the makeup artist cancels at any time or be unable to perform her duties for any reason a replacement makeup artist will be hired for services.
Any changes of dates and times will incur a loss of any booking fees or balances made prior. To secure the change of date another booking fee charge will apply.
Any cancellations to the number of clients for the day need to be made 3 months prior to your wedding date or they must still be paid for or a replacement found. Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup has the right to void your booking if there are a number of client cancellations.
Cancellations must be made 3 months prior to your reserved date or you will be responsible for the full amount of services agreed upon in these Terms and Conditions.
EVENT OF FORCE MAJEURE: An event beyond the control of Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup, which prevents a party from complying with any of its obligations under this Agreement including but not limited to:
1. Act of God (such as but not limited to fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, tidalwaves, bushfires, floods).
2. War, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), invasion, act of foreign enemies, mobilization, requisition or embargo.
3. Rebellion, revolution, insurrection or military or usurped power, or civil war.
4. Contamination by radio-activity from any nuclear fuel, or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear waste fuel, radio-active toxic explosive, or other hazardous properties of any nuclear assembly or nuclear component of such assembly.
5. Riot, commotion, strikes, go slows, lock outs or disorder.
6. Acts of threats of terrorism.
7. Serious viral outbreaks, epidemics or pandemics
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE: If our makeup artist(s) or hairstylist(s) feel uncomfortable, threatened or verbally abused in any way, they will have the right to leave the premises without completing services.
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING & POTENTIAL TIME ADJUSTMENTS: While I do my best to accommodate all bookings, bridal party appointments may occasionally take priority over special event bookings. In the event of a scheduling conflict, I will notify you as soon as possible if your appointment time needs to be adjusted. If the revised time does not suit you, I will make every effort to find a suitable replacement artist. If this is not possible, I will offer a full refund and cancel the appointment.
AGREEMENT– by booking in your services with Nicky Edwards Hair and Makeup indicates you agree to all the above mentioned Terms and Conditions. You understand and agree to the non-refundable booking fee to secure appointments for your party and agree to pay the complete balance for your wedding party 7 days prior to the wedding date listed in your booking confirmation. You understand and will comply with the cancellation policy. You understand that no refund will be given for members of the wedding party who miss their appointment. You also understand that you are responsible for balances from any members of your party who fail to provide payment.
